On Friday night, the U.S. Championships will continue in Columbus, Ohio with the Women's Short Program. New Jersey native Isabeau Levito will look to defend her 2023 title this year and get off to a strong start with her short program. While the 16-year-old is young, she is a veteran on the ice having competed on the senior circuit for years. Some of Levito's recent accomplishments include a fifth place finish at the 2023 Grand Prix Final in which she finished fifth and the 2023 Grand de France in which she finished on top of the podium. Last year, Levito went on to represent the United States at worlds but finished in fourth. This year, she hopes to not only win the national title, but the international title.

Challenging Levito for the title will be 17 other skaters who are certainly capable of winning the title. One of the most notable competitors will be 24-year-old Amber Glenn who won silver at the 2021 Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships. She is the second-highest ranked U.S. skater behind Levito and is known as one of the elite few to have landed a triple axel. 18-year-old Lindsay Thorngren trails not too far behind Glenn in this year's world rankings at 18th.
Tune in Friday night as the women take to the ice to begin their journey to a U.S. title with the hopes of representing their country at worlds.
